In February, we received a fourth round of funding to secure an extra 50 head-leased properties for women and children escaping family violence as part of our award-winning Moving On program.
The program provides a rent subsidy and wrap-around support services for a period of up to 12 months to help women get back on their feet.
Since 2016, Moving On has operated across Melbourne, Geelong, Ballarat, Warrnambool, Bendigo, and in the Mallee.
Of the previous allocations, 92 per cent of victim-survivors transitioned to a private rental lease of their chosen property at the end of the 12-month head-lease period.
