In late October our Board chair Damien Tangey and Director Ken Belfrage signed a $60 million deal with the Victorian Government’s Social Housing Growth Fund to build 151 new affordable homes.
The new homes will feature as part of a major 51 hectare land redevelopment and will include more than 2,500 homes and feature commercial office facilities, and a seven-hectare medical precinct including a private hospital, built around 11ha of new parks and waterways.
The construction phase will generate more than 5,000 jobs and when completed, more than 3,000 people are expected to work on the site in sectors ranging from community services, education, medical professions, business professions, plus more.
Construction is expected to commence in early 2021.
